“Reconciling the Rainbow”
FICTION ANTHOLOGY of SHORT STORIES
“Reconciling the Rainbow” is a collection of short stories & poetry connecting the Christian faith with LGBTQ identity. All proceeds from book sales will be donated to faith-based organizations who focus on aiding LGBTQ at-risk youth, and advocate for inclusion of LGBTQ people in churches/Christian communities.
To increase our fundraising, we will be offering the book at different “Donation levels”, in addition to the standard eBook. Our donation site and book pre-orders will be available in December, 2019
We are accepting short story & poetry submissions for the anthology. Use the submission form with a Google Doc link or a short description of your work. We will follow-up via email.
Criteria for submission::
Deadline: August 15 - December 15, 2019
Short stories 7000-12000 words
Format: Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced, 1 inch margins. Google Doc or Word Doc.
Poetry length should not exceed 3 pages when formatted
Suitable for Young Adult or New Adult audience (no profanity, no explicit sexual content, no substance abuse)
Christian faith is featured as integral to the characters and/or the plot
Characters identify as LGBTQ+
Own voice/autobiographical work will be accepted, but the names of characters must be changed for legal purposes
Authors may be given recommendations/feedback to alter content to fit the anthology. However, all authors will have final review of their content before publication.
